Magdeline Madibela, holds an MA in Social Policy and Administration, from Nottingham University, UK. She was head of SADC Gender Unit for 10 years, she stepped down in 2014 and is now working as gender advisor to the USAID/SADC Trade Centre in Botswana. One of her biggest achievement whilst head the SADC Gender Unit, she spearheaded the development of the SADC Gender Policy, the signing and ratification of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development. She has written several articles and presented papers at international seminars and conferences. She has extensive experience working in the SADC region and on the international level.
