Rethabile Pholo is former Chief Technical Officer and Public Relations Officer of Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of Lesotho where he engineered the quota for women in local gvt. Mr.Pholo joined the IEC in 1998 and amongst his key public relations responsibilities, he ensured maintenance of IEC’s corporate integrity through development and interpretation of the Commission’s programmes to the public. As a long serving Senior Officer at IEC, Mr.Pholo is one of the most respected IEC personnel.
Through his knowledge and experience with Lesotho and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) electoral processes and laws, access to political parties’ leadership and Senior Government officials and regular interaction with media, Mr.Pholo has wealth of information, networks with governments and politicians.
Mr.Pholo is a self-acclaimed supporter of initiatives that promote gender equality and on several occasions, he has expressed support for issues of women’s presentation and participation at all levels of governance.
