Anna Harris-Stone has 30 years of HR experience in both the public and private sectors. She began her career as a Personnel Admin Officer at the South African Breweries and later moved into Training and Development. She then spent seven years at the South African National Parks (SANParks) where she quickly moved through the ranks through a variety of roles that covered all spheres of HR from implementing administrative systems to industrial relations to performance management programmes to become the Head of People Resourcing.
In 2001, Anna left SANParks to start HBT Consulting, where she has provided a wide range of HR services to many different clients around Southern Africa. Areas of work have included consulting within the field of Human Resources on Remuneration consulting, Job Evaluation, Job descriptions and competency profiling which is often linked to a Salary survey, Performance management implementation, Recruitment and Selection. Change Management Training and/or Climate surveys, Cultural Diversity Training, Team Building, Strategic planning sessions, Accredited management development programmes, Soft skills training eg. Stress management, Conflict handling and Time management, Coaching to improve performance.
In addition to the HR consulting Anna plays a support role in Environmental Security Division (ESD) established in 2013 and RhinoGuard, a non profit organisation, was established in 2017. ESD was started to serve a need to protect rhinos of private owners in the rural areas of Limpopo, South Africa. In addition to her years of experience, Anna has a B.A Honours in Industrial Psychology, and is currently completing her thesis for her Masters in Industrial Psychology. She is registered an accredited Services Seta assessor.
