Mauritius Safe Haven Halfway Home Officer
Since a very young age, Annabelle was involved with the church and with the support of her parents and she often went into children’s shelters for donation and artistic activities. During Christmas time she would eagerly participate in Christmas carols and caring for the community through caregiving, positive communication and care.
Annabelle holds a school certificate, and a drama certificate. She also has 6 years of experience as a perfumery consultant at Mado Parfums where she developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Annabelle heard about the job opening at Gender Links Safe Haven HalfWay Home in September 2021. She applied for the job as Safe Haven Officer and received a positive reply within one week. Since 1st October 2021, Annabelle conducts educational and fun activities with the children and ensures the smooth running of the shelter on a daily basis. She also regularly liaises with donors and provides administrative support for Safe Haven.
Annabelle is committed to ensure that the children of Safe Haven have a good foundation for their education because education is key for their empowerment.
