Aobakwe Kgwele graduated in Film and Television Production at City Varsity, Johannesburg campus. Achieving Best Academic Student in her Department in 2018 she continued her studies at City Varsity and obtain an Advanced Diploma in Film and Television Production in 2019. During her academic career, she worked on various Film and Television related productions with highly acclaimed Production companies such as Rapid Blue, Velocity Films, Bomb Production, Actors Space to nurture and grow her skills in Filmmaking, Television shows, Documentaries and Music Videos, which she has done professionally.
With exposure to these opportunity filled companies, she has worked on Isibaya as a Production Manager assistant, Project Runway as Art Department Intern, 100 Mandela Global Citizen as a Talent Chaperone and the 18th Annual South African Film and Television awards as an assistant Coordinator amongst a few productions she has worked on. Through the National Film and Video Foundation internship placement, she has been placed to practice at Gender Links as a media intern.
