Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Mauritius

Preetima has a Bachelor Degree in Law and Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She joined Gender Links Mauritius in 2021 and has been working on the monitoring and evaluation of capacity building activities conducted with various stakeholders, including for Safe Haven. She is also engaged in fundraising, logistics and planning for trainings, risk assessment, research and report writing relating to advocacy activities with the European Union (EU) as well as other donors. As part of ongoing monitoring and evaluation, Preetima regularly gathers testimonial evidence in the form of Drivers of Change and I-Stories.

Throughout her work with various local and international NGOs since 2014, Preetima has been a keen advocate for disability rights, the personal and professional empowerment of the young generation, mental health and gender. Alongside her practical experience, she has participated in international research projects on education, gender and the future of employment. She was also a panellist at the LSE Education Forum in 2020 and was part of the Development Group of LSE Student Futures which aims to map, promote and enhance experiential learning opportunities for students outside the classroom.

She is motivated to leave a constructive legacy for future generations. She hopes to accomplish this goal by adopting a critical and holistic approach towards legal and gender related matters.
