Vivien is currently the People Team Lead at Gender Links. I have experience spanning over ten years as a Human Resources and Administration Specialist. The vast experience, gained through years of working with Regional NGOs, International Development Organizations and the South African Constitutional Body.
Working with international organizations exposed me to a diverse workforce, working with different people from all walks of life, beliefs, languages, races, sexual orientations, and religions among others.
I have experience overseeing HR in different countries. I have worked in three countries on USAID Projects, Uganda, Eswatini and South Africa.
In 2009, I joined Gender Links as the Human Resources and Administration Manager. I left GL in 2016, to join USAID Trade Investment Hub in 2017. I left Gender Links but stayed close, and continued participating in GL activities. When the USAID Trade Hub Project closed in 2022, I worked as an HR Consultant working in the Private Sector – Communications Sector and in October 2023 I joined Gender Links as People Team Lead.
I have developed the capacity to deliver and contribute to the achievement of Gender Links people-centred human resources support. I am a strong team player, who approaches others respectfully and empathically without compromising the outcome. I have organisational skills, adaptability and leadership attributes that are necessary for the position I am currently holding.
