Seasons greetings

As we come to the end of an eventful year I am writing to thank you most sincerely for supporting the work of Gender Links for Equality and Justice. With your help, we have anchored the work of the SADC Gender Protocol Alliance and expanded the #VoiceandChoice campaign demanding sexual and reproductive health and rights for the women and girls of the SADC region. We have supported survivors of gender violence to reclaim their lives by becoming entrepreneurs as part of the #SunriseCampaign.

Over 400 Centres of Excellence for Gender in Local Government in ten SADC countries are delivering gender-responsive services. The 50/50 campaign is now an unstoppable march to gender parity in political decision-making. Over 100 media houses are changing the narrative on gender equality in SADC. With these accomplishments, your help and support, we redoubling our efforts in the coming decade to achieve #generationequality by 2030 in the SADC region!

To sustain this work, we are launching the GL Future Fund for Generation Equality. If we can raise $1million by our 20th anniversary in March 2021, a private donor will match this by giving us $1 million! So $1 becomes $2, $20 becomes $40, $40 becomes $80, $100 becomes $200! Can we do it?  If every GL beneficiary gave just $5 we would reach this target!
