You are cordially invited to a debate on the second phase of the South African National editors Forum (SANEF) report on Glass Ceilings in South African Newsrooms, conducted in partnership with Gender Links (GL).

 INVITATION:
FIRST GENDER AND MEDIA DIVERSITY CENTRE DEBATE
GLASS CEILING TWO: WOMEN AND MEN IN SOUTH AFRICAN NEWSROOMS
 
The report will be launched by SANEF at a press conference on World Press Freedom Day (3 May). GL and the Gender and Media Southern Africa (GEMSA) Network will host a debate on the report on the same day (details below). The debate is the first in a series of monthly dialogues hosted by the Gender and Media Diversity Centre and marks the opening of the Gender and Media Literacy course being offered this season. Details of these can be found on www.genderlinks.org.za.
 
The panel will comprise senior media managers and analysts who will reflect on the findings of the report from different vantage points within and outside the media, and especially focus on the recommendations. A summary of the report will be made available at the launch and copies will be available at a small fee. Refreshments will be served.
