Capacity building on costing aims to strengthen implementation of the Protocol

Gender Links hosted a capacity building workshop on costing key provisions of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development from 22 – 24 September in Johannesburg for in country barometer researchers.

The next step in the SADC Gender Protocol campaign is to lobby governments to align their National Action Plans with the Protocol and cost its implementation. National barometers can help to strengthen this process to by providing key data on gaps against targets, pointing to actions that need to be taken and their resource implications.
