TITLE: 16m/- Donation to improve maternity services in Mtwara
The company known as Ophir Energy, an oil and gas exploration company operating in Mtwara Region (Southern part of Tanzania) has donated 16m/- to Benedictine Sister’s Shangani Dispensary.
Ophir recognizes the importance of supporting community work, such as that of the improvement of maternity ward, which will benefit Mtwara Municipality.
She added that it was not the first time the company had provided support to the Benedictine Sisters, as it had done so previously in 2010 and 2012, in line with its corporate social responsibility in Mtwara.
It is very much important for communities to come together in developing health services around to help other members of the community.
