Chipinge RDC is located in Chipinge District, in Manicaland Province, in southeastern Zimbabwe, close to the International border with Mozambique. The town in the high part of the District which is the heart of region one with the highest rainfalls.

The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme, mentored by Buhera RDC gender mainstreaming. Chipinge RDC has experience with Human-Wildlife conflict. As such the council has set up a unit that responds to challenges of human/wildlife conflict.
