Karoi is situated in the Mashonaland West area of Zimbabwe. Known for its vast agricultural activity. The town has 10 councillors (all male). Karoi lies along the main road, Highway between Harare and Chirundu, at the International border with the Republic of Zambia.

The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming in local government. It is mentored by Chinhoyi Municipality. Karoi Town Council is repairing streetlights and conducting COVID19 awareness campaigns.
