The council is a spoke council in the hub and spoke programme for gender mainstreaming in local government. The council is mentored by Beitbridge Municipality. The council conducts awareness campaigns on various service issues including COVID19. The council participated at their first ever local government SADC Protocol@Work summit in 2020.
