The council has in place a strategic plan which is being reviewed on a regular basis and progress is being monitored and evaluated. Furthermore several policies exist on the following matters; Hiv-Aids Local response, Alienation or sale of plots or land, street naming and re-naming, housing benefit scheme, credit control, procurement, tender board, IT, recruitment and selection, motor vehicle, conditions of employment, radio communication, coat of arms, study aid, as well as one on investors
