Mauritius: Say no to war @ home during the 16 Days campaign

Gender Links Mauritius Office will launch the key findings of the GBV indicators research on 29 November 2012. Gender Links invites you to join an internet campaign to end GBV in Mauritius from 30th November on three radio channels (Radio Mauritius, Kool FM and FM Music) every hour as from 20 – 28 November 2012.

On 29th November, GL will receive live coverage of GBV launch from the studio. On 30th November and in the week 3 December the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) will be hosting cyber dialogues in collaboration with Gender Links. IT facilities have been set up to allow the public to come in. From 11.00 to 11.15 – the GL Mauritius and Francophone Director, Loga Virahsawmy will be on air to share findings of the GBV indicators research conducted in Mauritius.

P & P Link Saatchi and Saatchi have produced an advert in honour of GL’s work with a key message – “A man must have respect for a woman – an initiative of Gender Links for the 16 days campaign against GBV”.The Chief Executive of the Municipal Council of Curepipe will host Take Back the Night following a recommendation of the workshop held at during the meeting held 5 – 6 November 2012.

I recently attended a seminar at the University Of Mauritius on sexual harassment whereby the report “war @ home” was discussed and I would like to have a copy of the report. Is it available in PDF form?
