Men urged to play positive role in sexual reproductive health

Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia (PPAZ) programmes manager Henry Kaimba has said men should be equal partners in reproductive health in order to attain the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on reducing maternal mortality ratio by three quarters in 2015.

Mr Kaimba said there were a number of issues that should be done for the maternal mortality rate to reduce by 2015.
He said it was important to important to outline the issues or challenges in reproductive health including the lack of knowledge about safe motherhood in the communities.

Male involvement in safe motherhood would encourage openness about sexual reproductive among women and in the end lead to an increase in accessing reproductive health services.
