Zambia – State committed to gender equity

Secretary to the Cabinet Joshua Kanganja has said the Government remains committed and has fully embraced the gender mainstreaming strategy as a means to achieving equitable development and ultimately as a key instrument to contribute to the achievement of Vision 2030.

Kanganja said this when he launched the Strategy for Engendering the Public Service and the National Gender Monitoring and Evaluation Plan in Lusaka.

He said the launch of the two documents would strengthen the Government’s resolve in the implementation of the National Gender Policy and that the aforementioned documents were tools designed to accelerate gender mainstreaming within the public service.
