CYAMA has contributed towards addressing challenges such as HIV & AIDS, discrimination and gender based violence among young people through a church perspective. The activities done so far have helped in meeting the association/network ’s goal and made a positive impact on the lives of young people. CYAMA has networked with several youth groups from various churches under its membership as well as priests, pastors, and leaders of NGOs and Government Institutions concerned with the youth such as the Malawi Interfaith AIDS Association (MIAA), Ecumenical Counseling Centre (ECC), National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCoM), National Aids Commission (NAC), Ministry of Health (MOH), Christian Family Movement (CFM), Marriage Encounter, and Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) Department of HIV and AIDS and Nutrition among others. CYAMA has also and is still working with organizations that are tackling discrimination and gender based violence like; Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP), Public Affairs Committee (PAC), Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC), Human Rights Consultative Committee (HRCC), and Ministry of Gender, Women and Child Development (MOGCD). This has been achieved and has been effective because the management of CYAMA managed to secure necessary financial and technical support required for successful implementation of its project that made the youth and other youth organisations to cooperate in the implementation of the projects.
