Litter was a cause of concern at Tafadzwa primary school as a result of the school ’s large enrolment of nearly 2000 pupils. The school environment was more of a dumping area than an educational institution. The school was invited to participate in the Sanyati District Science Exhibition in the year 2013. Volunteers were given an opportunity to form Science Exhibition Teams. Tafadzwa Primary School also managed to establish a Science Exhibition club. It is from this exhibition that minds of club members were opened.
After the exhibition the school made a resolution to create a better environment. The club was then renamed Environment Club. The school started involving itself in massive environmental projects. These included climate change and anti-litter campaigns.
