Many people with diabetes were discovered with HIV and some died because they didn ’t gave both medication, they were just given one. In any other fact, HIV people who taking art they end up having diabetes. People are afraid of testing both because they see an end of life while is not like that.

Diabetes Swaziland was established in 2010 by Dumsile Mavuso who is the founder. For the past years diabetes has achieved a lot in health issue and that related in gender based violence. It had partner with many organisation that fight against GVB which include Women in law and SWAGAA. We attended many event with the organisations stopping violence for people living with diabetes because they are abused too, physical, emotionaly, sexual and many more.

Brief description of the good practice and motivation as to why it is a good practice? (150 words)

It is a good practice because cases of children and women abuse are so high. Most reported abuse are those with diabetes because of the complications of diabetes are women and children abuse. Many women and children were killed due to gender based violence in our various communities. No one heard arrested due to the lack of sufficient evidence. And some are afraid to go and testify because they don ’t want to be victimised by these perpetrators.
