Domboshava market

The council has erected a wholesale market for farmers in and around Domboshava. This is secured premise with ample space for the farmers to market their produce fresh from the farm. Farmers from the Domboshava area before the construction of the wholesale market used to travel from their farms to Mbare Musika into another district (Harare) which was the designated area for farm produce wholesale. This was about 40 km and would cost each farmer at least $10 for him/her and her produce. So with the domboshava wholesale market place this trade center was brought not only close to their farms but is also the fisrt of its kind in the district. This has seen a considerable decrease in transport cost and also creating an opportunity for those who were previously unable to travel the long distances.
