Brief description of the good practice and motivation as to why it is a good practice? (150 words)

The Ablution Upgrading Project is quite a good practice in addressing GBV issues. The project has made much strides in increasing women ’s security and privacy. This development was inspired by the previous conditions whereby women lacked personal security in using the ablution facilities then present. At times they would experience intrusion when bathing and other male counterparts would peep through wall cracks to see them naked which largely accounted for the violation of women ’s rights to privacy. Men on the other hand were not an exception in terms of GBV, this also enhanced the upgrading of the ablution blocks since their status and maturity were undermined by the state of the ablution blocks. Discussions with them indicated that they would in most cases opt to bath at night when the little ones had gone to sleep. It helped the community in the sense that whoever uses the ablution block now feels a sense of security. People used to go and bath at the edges of the lake where they felt more secure and away from onlookers, however this sometimes ended with a loss of life as Mr Mususa who was a resident of Mahombekombe was attacked by a crocodile and killed on the spot while bathing. In another incident Mr Zebroan Rice lost his grade 5 son to a crocodile while he was bathing. With these incidences, the building of these ablution blocks came as a relief to Mahombekombe community as the danger has been evaded. The ablution blocks have been enhanced the health of the community as it has provided them with a clean environment. There are no longer experiencing sewerage blockages like what they used to experience before the upgrading of the ablution blocks. Diseases such as cholera, malaria, diarrhoea and typhoid are now being prevented because of this fascinating development.

It is a good practice because it will promote peace, love, tolerance and forgiveness. The main outcomes of the one stop centre have evidently been positive going by the so many revelation which are related to health care and data collection. For instance in Zambia, prior to the establishment of study, there was a luck of awareness of child sexual abuse and a lack of recognition of child sexual abuse cases. The establishment of one stop centre situated at Thompson Hospital in Luanshya has made possible for stakeholder to meet regularly during different forms to discuss ,share experience and better the general landscape of health.
