This radio documentary focuses on issues of gender based violence, especially on harmful cultural practices that puts women and girls at risk. The common practice is Kulowa Kufa/Kupita Kufa in which communities are involved in sexual cleansing whenever death has occurred in a family. Women are usually the subject of cleansing; a development that puts them at risk of contracting HIV among other sexually transmitted diseases. This is the situation since no protection is used during the sexual encounter.
