Umsimisi Community project engages communities through dialogues to end gender based violence from family â?? community to national level. This is through highlighting out the role of individuals to take it upon themselves to expose all forms of violence; and also get feedback from the community members as to how best they can fight Gender Based Violence.
Realizing the level of poverty in the communities, Umsimisi Community Project has introduced a new and innovative way of gardening for food sustainability for community support. This is incorporated with continuous community engagement on awareness on topical issues around the subject of Gender and Gender Based Violence.
This is set to improve food sustainability for target communities as well as cash flow on target populations as opposed to relying on handouts.
