In April 2011 ,I as the Community Development Worker received a visit from a client named ,Mr.Lionel Valentine. Mr. Valentine is the owner of the small farm with five(5) hectare land called Houtkloof resided in the Cape Agulhas Municipal area. Mr.Valentine and his wife retired from work and come to farm on the land mentioned.The land is part of his inheritance. He bought 200 rabbits from a person in Johannesburgh to generate income for himself and the local community of Napier.Napier is the nearest town from the Farm and have approximately an population of 5000 residents.Mr.Valentine and his wife are living on the farm for three years now and because he are the owner of this farm ,he identified the need to contribute to the local economic development and job creation in the area.He came to me,as CDW to assisted him with advice,knowledge and to registered the farm as an Cooperative Business. The farm is reserved as the Triple Farming Primary Cooperative and are currently awaiting for the registration papers.Mr,Lionel came to asked for assistance for Rabbitfood and how to grow his rabbit breeding,How to market the Business and to give him guidance in further development opportunities.
