Menoaneng Community Council is located in the rural area of Libibing in the Mokhotlong District.

Menoaneng Community council has 35% women’s representation and council chairperson and Chairperson of Social Services Committee are both women. Women/ youth/ PWD participate in council consultations and decision-making, decide on which projects to implement.

The council has 17 employees and 13 are women, and two are also in management.

There is a provision for maternity leave of three months and nursing hours for three months after maternity leave. The council does not have a sexual harassment policy, but the cases are referred to the nearest police station. The council place is accessible to people around it and facilities are disability friendly.

Menoaneng Community Council allocated a substantial budget to gender-related projects for 2017 to 2018.

The council has allocated market places for community of which 90% are women and they are selling their products.

Women, men and youth hired in soil conservation projects where they plant tree and grass cultivation.

The council has  allocated 200 residential sites, 50 business sites planned, revenue collection, files edited, cleaned and placed in order, proper filling and payments made successfully on regular basis.

The council Support  community support groups and village health care workers and has worked with the Ministry of Health to provide them with workshops and refresher courses.

There are 36 water supply committees and there has been an extension and maintenance of water supply systems.

The council promote SRHR where it has met with LENASO on how to distribute condoms and mobile clinics.  Women, men, people living with disability, and youth have equal access to treatment.
