Women Intimate Expression is an community based organisation legally registered in 2008 provide a haven for all women ,regardless of status, age and religious background. The organisation sheds light on issues regarding Gender based violence ,HIV and AIDS and Socio- economic development. Experts are invited to educate members on the above topics and give an open forum for exchange of opinions and ideas. Economic projects are identified, planned, executed and evaluated during the Annual general meeting of the organisations.

Key objectives of this project to empower women in all social and economic aspects of their lives. To strength them during marriage and before marriage. To provide a platform where women can share their experiences and grievance and the same time share their social and economic triumphs. To provide information in regard to human rights HIV and AIDS socio economic opportunity.

The organisation was established because of an evident reality that many women suffer and die because of lack of knowledge and support. Issue pertaining to Gender based Violence and HIV and AIDS and poverty render woman helpless and distraught and without an idea of how to develop themselves.

The main activities are:

  • Monthly themed Meetings were key meeting which were held at local halls.
  • Home visits to members’ homes to reach out to their neighbours.
  • In the monthly mobilization Members were made aware of their value and rights and given a light in challenges that affect women as a whole.
  • The growth was commemorated through Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual General Conference (AGC).
  • In the Annual General Meeting members evaluated themselves on their challenges and projects success.
  • In the Annual General Meeting in which members invited the public to celebrate the Organisations successes.

During our annual Conference we have Partnered with WILSA (Women In Law ), Ministry of Gender Sports and Recreation and Ministry of law and Constitutional Affairs to further drive the message of Human Rights ,Gender based violence and HIV and AIDS.

Women Intimate Expressions is still proud of work done before December 2020 for young girls were continuously made aware of Child Marriage and Human Trafficking but eversInce Covid19 Pandemic we were not able to meet talk and discuss issues pertaining to women in large numbers except by Whatapps small forums for encouragements and motivation We were able to counsel and give guidance to those suffered domestic violence during lockdowns
