The company was established because there was a realisation that most newspaper headlines and any form of media headlines are about men, mostly in politics, sport and economic activities. As such, the women who established and owned the company wanted to address female issues. The key objective is to empower women and address their issues more effectively using media. We also want to sensitise women on gender issues and give them a platform where they can speak freely about such issues. Within this company there are seven women and only two male employees and the main objective is to have gender balance in the workplace.

â € ¢ To balance as much as possible the female voices in the newspapers. Presently men are still making headlines in the newspapers.
â € ¢ To cover womenâ € ™s stories that do not put women in compromised situations, such as making headlines about abuse, but rather cover progress in their lives.
â € ¢ To encourage women to speak more without prejudice
â € ¢ To make Finite Magazine the preferred womenâ € ™s publication of choice. To empower women more through the content covered.

Edu-Reloaded is a television programme that caters for students who study mathematics and science at Junior Certificate and Cambridge Oxford School Certificate level in Lesotho.
The idea behind the programme is to bridge the gap that was visible between students and teachers nationally. From studies conducted, it was discovered that Basotho female students regarded maths and science as boysâ € ™ subjects and this automatically makes them dislike the subjects. However, with Edu-Reloaded both genders are treated equally and females are encouraged to change their attitudes towards the subjects. At the end of the year we hope to help improve results in maths and science from Form A to Form E.
Through the television programme Khaya Holdings is creating an employment opportunity for fresh graduates in the fields of TV production, script writing, marketing, public relations and administration.
Motivation: Edu-Reloaded is the first television educational program to be introduced in the country.
It caters for pupils aged 13-21 in Form A to Form B.
It is broadcast on Lesothoâ € ™s national television channel which caters for about 300 000 households in the country.
It is breaking the barrier that makes people believe that maths and science are male dominated subjects.
