Milene Abdool Kader, Elles C Nous

Founded in June 2007 by Milene Abdool Kader, Elles C Nous prides in being a small association with a big heart. Milene comes from a very poor family. After graduating from primary school to college Renaud and Pierre New Devton , she throws herself fully into the social commitment and volunteerism. Elles C Nous is an association mainly active with children and their families in the region of Beau Bassin and Rose Hill as well as Plaines Wilhems District. The organisation provides numerous activities for children that come in their Centre, including academic support through various classes in the afternoon (IT, cooking, sports, music…etc.); a snack before the start of each classes and every Saturday a full lunch and dessert. The children are also taught on different themes such as citizenship, respect for others, culture, environment, early pregnancy, the evils of drugs and alcohol and so on. Elles C Nous also donates school supplies and clothes to the children and their parents as well as offer psychological support to parents and conducts visits to their home.
