It is a story that shows how women and youths can hardly own a piece of Land. In this report, a woman loses all her belongings simply because the disaster management and mitigation unit has set ablaze her house on a land she had been squatting on for more than fifty years. She weeps as she narrates her predicament. The story also shows a good number of young men complaining of their houses been destroyed. The land in question which has for many years been considered thereâ € ™s has been taken away by the state who are now putting up a multi facility economic zone. More than two hundred families have been displaced though government identified only one hundred and fifty as being original squatters. the story simply highlights the fact that women in the country have it hard to own a piece of land as compared to men and the rich.
