Tanzania Women in Peace Networking (TAWOPE) is an organization which was formed by a group of Women after undertaking various trainings on Conflict Resolution and Peace and Security among the Women from the Great Lakes. The training sessions were organized and conducted by Isis-Women in Cross Cultural Exchange for three consecutively years. In Tanzania, TAWOPE works in regions like Arusha, Manyara, Morogoro, Mbeya and Mara. Mission: TAWOPE’ ’s main mission is to improve women and children ’s social, political and economic status through media advocacy. Its programmes and directives are intended to cultivate and enhance the capacities of diverse local organizations based upon democratic principles of equality from a gender perspective.
