The project provides social needs to the disadvantaged. The practice appears to be an excellent one because the areas are inhabited by the bulk of the nation population they serve as the base for the production of food. Though construction of bridges can enhance the quality of rural life. It is a mass effort to increase production create and spread of employment and to root out the fundamental causes of poverty, diseases and ignorance.

The building of bridges by Manyame Rural Council works in close co-operation with people to improve the economic, social and cultural condition of the communities. It is a process of planned change in various aspect of rural community. Bridges bring road network, informal trade to uplift livelihood and economic development. The project also provides access to services like hospitals, schools, markets, police station and high ways. It is a good practice because it reduces distance travelled.

Seke District stretches in a longitudinal shape. It shares boundaries with Marondera, Chikomba and Goromonzi, Mhondoro-Ngezi and Chegutu. A number of people rely on public transport to access medical facilities where they exist are erratic adequate, roads are narrow seasonal, untarred and unreliable. There virtually no effective means of communication, recreational facilities are lacking in areas where hospitals are build such hospitals lack healthy facilities they are usually understaffed, the school buildings are in poor conditions.

To measure the impact of the construction of a bridge in Seke District, council visited the area and had an opportunity to interact with the villagers through one on one interviews. Council also received messages from the community residents through their councillor on how they are appreciating the project. Through this research council also noted that 99.8% had a chance to use the bridge.

The impact of environmental issues on construction escalated as Manyame Rural District council was bound to clearly define duties and liabilities regarding the environment strict regulation, permitting requirements and enforcements are designed to protect human health and environment failure to comply with environmental regulations would result in project delay or termination or disqualification from future work opportunities.
