Globally, womenâ € ™s growing participation in employment is offering an important contribution to national economic growth rates, economic viability and poverty reduction. However, gender gaps in the world of work remain in most countries, affecting productivity and competitiveness. The full participation of women as economic actors is essential to build healthy and economies as well as substantial poverty reduction.
