Lesotho MAP Policies

Progress in the implementation of the MAP process in Lesotho was swift. The roll out process started with a target of 17 media houses but ended with 13 that have since drafted and launched their polices.

These include the state broadcaster (both television and radio) as well as the Lesotho News Agency (LENA). The other media houses that were targeted either opted out of the MAP or were shut down. Moeletsi oa Basotho was the only media house in the country that drafted a stand alone Gender policy over and above a gender aware HIV and AIDS policy.
