The Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is a public service broadcaster and is the principal medium for the dissemination of information, education and entertainment programmes in Mauritius and its outer islands. It offers both radio and television services. The MBC broadcasts news and programmes that caters for the intellectual, cultural, information and entertainment needs of the Mauritian population. Its radio channels include both am and fm channels.The MBC currently broadcasts seventeen (17) television channels on the digital platform . The institution is governed by the MBC Act.
