Johannesburg, 28 May: The first evening of the SADC Gender Protocol Summit closed with a bang on Monday night at the Kopanong Conference Centre in Johannesburg. The cultural evening saw delegates from across the sadc region take to the stage to showcase their music and dance, adorned in their colourful traditional attire. Although participants were there to unwind after a long day of gender mainstreaming presentations, many participants insisted on keeping gender equality on the agenda and call for commitment to end gender-based violence.
