Give a short history of the leader | gender links came to my village the time we re about to elect a councilor for the local government, and gl encouraged us to involve ourselves as women we also have s right to be leaders |

Key activities | the nature of my work is to make sure that everyone in the community live a good live and bring their basic needs upfront.even though its a good thing to help people its also challenging because our government does not provide or answer us in time |
Key challenges | living a rural areas is very challenge due to the norms that women should submit to their husband ,men argue and complain that I am misleading their wifes and encourage them to disrespect them |

Change at the individual level | now that I know women’s rights I am very happy because I also have a say and I make decisions in my family unlike before when my husband would just order me around even if I am not ok with what he was saying. Now I am very brave I am no more afraid to talk to people in higher places like ministers to get help for the community |

Capacity building | I grouped young girls in my community and help them know their rights and teach them on how to defend themselves from gender abuse. and I taught them on ho to stand up for themselves and not let any one to take chances and abuse them |
Lessons learned and shared | Conflict management,i have learnt to love people regardless their statuses and be a very passionate person in life in order to achieve my goals. |
Next Steps | i would like to form a group whereby women will sit down and talk about their family issues and try to solve them accordingly and those who understand gender equality should help those who are still behind |
