I am a single mother of 3 children and a resident of Grootfontein. I have a Chicken farming business. I was employed for sometimes and I needed to make money so that I can food on the table for my children.I am very much committed and  passionate about my business. My business is viable and I will soon enter the domestic market. My aim is to contribute towards food security by bringing chicken meat closer to the consumers. And I see a potential in my business growing. I sell live chicken directly to the consumers because currently I don’t have a processing machines. the project has changed my life for the better.

My involvement with Gender links entrepreneurship workshop has been a  milestone in my life because through what  I have been taught in the workshop I found  that it is important to own a business account in order to save profit money than misusing it and it has imparted me very much because now I can do market research, draft a business plan, budgeting, planning and marketing. I have encountered many challenges such as lack of operational space because currently she kept her chicken behind her courtyard and thieves are busy stealing my chicken that is something that holding her business back and the issue of  transport.

At the current moment I manage my business alone but in the near future i will employ about two people and that will only happen when I would have secured a bigger space. I am very much happy because the Gender links training has completely changed my life and I could also see this change in others. I started with the GL programme in the year 2013 and during that time had gained a lot of confidence as a young women. By the year 2030 everyone in Nambia will be knowing my name is the greatest business women.
