My most memorable experience of this training was the tree drawing activity that Sabrina made us do. I really loved how explained the whole activity to us. To say it was just a drawing of a tree but for me it was extremely meaningful. My hands moved automatically. I didn’t have to try hard. I just drew. It all came from within. When I met GL for the training in 2014, I did not know exactly what would come of it. But I enjoyed myself so much. I really looked forward to attending all the classes. I met so many friends. Everyone had her problem of her own. It felt nice to be meeting with people who you could relate to. I just felt empowered through the words of Sabrina. I never thought I was a lesser person or anything.

Before joining the course, I was doing embroidery as part of community meetings projects. I was doing it just as a hobby. But ever since I joined and followed the training, I have started doing it for business purposes. I would do some pieces and inform my friends about them. They would be interested and eventually they would buy the products. Sometimes there would be people who would be interested in ordering some products and I would spend weeks doing that order. That is how my business goes. Had it not been for the training I would not have known how to turn my hobby into business.

After this training i have learned that nothing is impossible in the world neither does the world stops at one problem. One should keep trying until s/he reaches her/his goal. I feel empowered from within to shine. I want to be fully established in this business. I want to go beyond the stage where I have to take advances from clients to start a project. I want to be self-sufficient. I want to have a page on Facebook full of my embroidery projects that have travelled the world. That would make me very happy.
