I started attending Gender Links workshops in 2013. I learned a lot about abuse that mostly happens to women and children in the families. In this these workshops I met with some women who were teaching us about abuse, at first I thought they wanted to know about my family secrets only to realize later that they were trying to help me to overcome the experience I might have met during my life. It was difficult for me when I tried to share my life experience with them, but as I realized that they were feeling sorry for me and supporting me It became much easier for me.

I attended only two workshops as my job would not let me to attend all of them. One thing I have realized is that I must not give up on what I want to do. At first I was staying at home doing nothing, but now I am selling some sweets, Ice pop and ladies creams. I went to council to ask for help but was not successful. I just want to tell other women that they must never give up in life the must struggle in order to achieve their goals.

As of now people com to me asking how I manage to be successful and I tell the that Gender Links helped me a lot through their teachings, and that they should also join Gender Links if they want to be successful like me. I was abused by my boyfriend but now things have changed even my neighbors has realized that abusive is not something that a person can live with. What I have learned in these lessons is that I must make sure that my business should grow and that it must not be stagnant. I want to hire other people also by the year 2030 I want feed my country together with my family.
