My goal in life

I did not know how women can make business and how to develop ourselves. At Gender Links (GL), I have been equipped of how to progress in life. I have started the training at GL in 2014. I am actually working as a gardener. I do not earn a lot of money with this job. I am still facing financial problems. My goal in life is to stop doing that job. I want to work for myself. I will then sell pancakes outside a school gate. I am also planning to sell clothes also. GL has encouraged me to believe in that project. I know I can earn my living by realizing this project. Gender Links has helped me to get the idea of women entrepreneurship. Now, I want to advance in life. I no more aspire to remain as I am. I know that through perseverance and hard work, I can go out of these financial problems. I am a married woman. My husband drinks alcohol a lot. He used to beat me before. He still fights with me but he has stopped his manner of physical abuse.  I have two grown up children. My first daughter is twenty-one years old and my son is fifteen years old. Before, when my husband starts the fight, I would also argue a lot with him. And this ended in even a big fight compared to the start. Now, I can say that at GL, I have learnt how to deal with difficult situations. I have learnt how to comply so as to avoid problems with my husband. This has helped us to live in an atmosphere of more quietness at home. My attitude has changed. My children have seen how the course at GL has shaped my personal traits. Gender Links is a promoter of positivity. It has helped me to better my relationships at home. It has also helped me to think higher. Now I have a dream in life. I know that I will succeed in life. I want to say a warm thank you to GL. They have always supported me in good and bad times. I have leant a lot of things that will serve me in my everyday life. I have learnt that women also are strong. Women also can make their business by themselves. Without Gender Links, I would have been more discouraged.
