My most memorable experience of the Gender Links workshops was when we were trained on starting our own business as part of self-development; by Sister Susan. I felt healed in my spirit. I didn’t know how to run my own business properly and calculate money. I have started my own business now and I am able to save money from the money when I make profit. This training has helped me a lot, I would like to thank Susan she has opened my eyes.

In November 2014 I started to attend the training. I attended all of the workshops offered by Gender links. One of the best things is that I wrote my own business plan and that was important to me. I have already started my business, before I met Susan, my business was not growing but since I met Susan everything changed and I have faith in my business now.

Before the workshops I was running my own business but things were not working well. Now I sell chips, snacks, sweets, ice pops, cold drink and am loaning people money.

The Gender links training has helped me a lot. I am now independent. Meeting with other women has helped me to know that I am not alone and that they have also gone through abuse.

I was the victim of abuse and I have separated from my husband, he was abusing me physically. If I get employed It will bring change in my life.  I  want  to  have  my  own  place  where  I  can  operate  my  business.

People in my community are happy with me because my life has changed and I will use this to l bring change to my community. I will make sure that other people get help. My dream is to have my own place where I can run my own business and  have a beautiful house.

Thank you Gender Links.
