My name is Hileni Yamunoko, on the 21 July 2014 I attend Gender Link workshop, and I learn more about domestic gender base violence incident. I  was asked to write a story about the  relationship between me and my husband, also  to write business proposal for my business. I learn how to serve customer for example when you are selling foods you should always look presentable and neatly at all times. I learn also how to records budget information on the computer in order to keep data for future references. I did not miss any workshop offered by Gender Link, because I was really interested in the information they are giving us which is empowering. I am so happy that this workshop helps me to gain some computer skills and even my boss is happy to see me using a computer now.I use to struggle a lot with use a computer and thank to Gender Links my skill has improved, i even have an email address.

I now have a learners and by the year 2017 I want to get a drivers license because at the moment my husband is the one who is driving my car and he is not a careful driver and when I complain he giving me attitude and in me getting my own license I will be able to manage my business smoothly.  He was a partner who was always taking from me and not helping with anything and drinking a lot and he would be physical when he is drunk but now he is respecting me more and not drinking alcohol anymore. There is peace in my house now. I believe that his attitude has changed because he has realized that I am becoming successful now.

I hope by the year 2030 I will become a very important business women and would have employed some staff and in that way I will be contributing to the economy of the country. I have a business of selling fish and I will make it grow by introducing now products in the future. And I would like to thank Gender Links to the opportunity it has given me and a chance to become a good example to younger women of our nation.
