With an average score of 63%, gender attitudes in Zimbabwe are gradually changing for the better, but evidence of deep-seated patriarchal attitudes is still strong. For example, while 69% of women and men agree or strongly agree that ā€œPeople should be treated the same whether they are male or femaleā€, 65% agree or strongly agree that ā€œa woman should obey her husband.ā€
