Creative memorials in honour of Wangari Maathai

In her memory, environmental activists and feminist groups in Africa are inviting people all over the world to plant trees in memory of Wangari Maathai. There can be no better tribute to her work. Everyone is being invited to plant a tree in the memory of this courageous, humane and tireless advocate of the natural environment in Africa and of the people who rely on its continued health, Dr Wangari Maathai.
