Women and the media: The discussion continues in Croatia

Both the IWMF’s Global Report on the Status of Women in News Media and the GMMP’s Who makes the News? Global Media Monitoring Project 2010 were up for discussion at the Conference and Roundtable on ‘Women in Media’ in Zagreb, Croatia on 26 May.

The conference was held by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Political Science and the Croatian Communication Association with the support of the embassies of France, Sweden and the United States.

Maria Edstrom, a member of the GMDC Advisory Group Board, attended the conference. Edstrom is a journalist and senior lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, Department of Journalism, Media and Communication.
