Mercilene Machisa

My internship with GL was quite an empowering and enlightening one. I got opportunity to improve my people skills and a feel of what working under pressure means. The experiences strengthened my personality and gave me new perspective. I got to better understand and appreciate social problems than I had done previously especially in the areas of gender inequality and violence against women. I began to feel that through my work within the Justice programme I could make a significant contribution towards social injustices that rake our communities on a daily basis.
