Jacaranda FM is hosting a walk on the 27th November 2010 at The Campus in Bryanston – “Sisters with Blisters”.
Every year thousands of women and children are abused? This is your chance to make a difference in their lives. Jacaranda 94.2 and 1st for Women Insurers have come together to raise funds and awareness for this heart-felt
cause.
Last year Sisters with Blisters walk raised R166 000 for Women & Men against child abuse and we are proud to say ATNS was part of that, this year hopefully this figure will grow substantially. Everyone is encouraged to participate, even if you do not wear stilettos. So all men shouldn’t back down to this challenge as flat shoes are also welcome.
The walk is 4.5kms in either stilettos or comfortable shoes (we are thinking comfortable shoes!). The message however, is one that will ensure that the perpetrators inflicting such abuse hear it and perhaps think twice.
Registration is R100 per person and if we register in a group of 10 the cost is R90.00 per person. Proceeds of the initiative will go to the Leigh Matthews Trust and Women Against Child Abuse.
For those of you who would love to walk, however due to medical reasons cannot – we shall gladly forward your contributions to this worthy cause.
If you are interested in any of the above options, kindly contact CarolMpepele on 011 961 0233/ 079 890 6303 by no later than 12 November 2010. For more information and details of the walk, please visit jacaranda fm
