Gender Links, a Southern African NGO based in Johannesburg specialising in gender, media, women’s rights and governance, seeks the services of an experienced individual to serve as a country facilitator for its media Centres of Excellence (COE) project in Malawi. The main task of the incumbent will be to work with media houses to mainstream gender in media content and institutional practice. This project involves the development of gender policies and on the job support and training on different thematic areas in media houses.
The successful applicant, based in Malawi and working on a flexible basis, will attend periodic training sessions in Johannesburg, over the period. The deadline for submission of applications is Tuesday 7 February 2012.

The successful candidate will be required to attend a Training-of-trainers workshop in Johannesburg from 12-15 February 2012.
